UConn Women's Basketball Defeats St. John's 71-45

The sixth-ranked UConn women's basketball team defeated St. John's 71-45, remaining undefeated in the BIG EAST with a record of 7-0. Paige Bueckers made a successful return after a knee sprain, contributing 12 points, five rebounds, and two steals in 23 minutes. Azzi Fudd led the team with 13 points, while Ashlynn Shade added 10. UConn established a dominant lead early, scoring 25 points in the first quarter and never trailing in the game. The Huskies shot 57% from the field and had a strong defensive performance, forcing 15 turnovers from St. John's. Bueckers is now just six points away from becoming UConn's 12th player to reach 2,000 career points, with her next opportunity coming against Seton Hall on Sunday.
