Kings Island, Kings Dominion Add Extra Fees for Halloween Haunt Mazes

Kings Island and Kings Dominion amusement parks are introducing new fees for their Halloween haunted mazes, which were previously included with regular admission. At Kings Island, guests must purchase a $10 Haunted Attractions Pass to access mazes like Killmart and Slaughterhouse, with prices increasing to $20 on busy weekend nights, while the new Conjuring: Beyond Fear attraction requires a separate $15-$25 fee. Kings Dominion is implementing a similar Haunted Attractions Pass with variable pricing per night, aiming to offer a more intimate and intense scare experience. Both parks offer upgraded Express Passes that provide priority access to the mazes, with costs ranging from $29 to $59, and season pass holders are not exempt from these additional charges. The changes come as part of broader efforts to enhance the Halloween events with new attractions, such as Kings Island's Order of the Dragon maze and interactive Conjuring experience featuring characters like Annabelle and The Nun. While some fans appreciate the improved experiences, others express dissatisfaction with the extra fees for attractions that had been free with admission in prior years.
