Vietjet and Honeywell

Vietjet, Vietnam's leading low-cost carrier, has signed a $1.1 billion cooperation agreement with Honeywell Aerospace Technologies to enhance its fleet with advanced avionics and maintenance services. The agreement, formalized during a visit by Vietnam’s Party General Secretary To Lam to the United States, aims to support Vietjet's modernization efforts, particularly for its new wide-body A330neo and narrow-body aircraft. It also includes the implementation of Honeywell's Flight Efficiency solution, which focuses on emission reduction and fuel efficiency monitoring across the fleet. Vietjet CEO Dinh Viet Phuong emphasized the airline's commitment to sustainable growth and the development of an intercontinental flight network, leveraging Honeywell's technology to enhance passenger experience. This partnership follows Vietjet's recent $7.4 billion order for 20 A330neo aircraft from Airbus, furthering its expansion into long-haul routes. Vietjet continues to adapt to post-pandemic travel demands while fostering sustainability in line with its ESG goals.
