Colin Petersen, Original Bee Gees Drummer, Dies at 78

Colin 'Smiley' Petersen, the original drummer of the Bee Gees, passed away at the age of 78 on November 18, with his death attributed to a sudden fall reported by his representatives. Petersen, who began his career as a child actor, was known for his role in the 1956 film 'Smiley' which inspired his nickname. He played a significant role in the Bee Gees' early success, contributing to four albums and iconic tracks like 'I Started A Joke' and 'To Love Somebody' during his time with the band from 1967 to 1969.
