Chiropractor Indicted on 19 Sexual Abuse Charges

Murtaza Hameed, a 46-year-old Naperville resident with a chiropractic clinic in Aurora, Illinois, faces a total of 19 charges after three more victims came forward, bringing the alleged victim count to five. The charges, including aggravated criminal sexual abuse and assault, cover incidents from July 2016 to January 2025 and involve victims ranging from preadolescent boys to adult men. Hameed was initially charged in May for allegedly abusing two teenage boys and was later indicted by a grand jury on 13 new felony counts and several misdemeanors related to additional victims. He was released on electronic monitoring with home confinement and may not contact minors other than his own children. Authorities have commended the victims for their courage and continue to urge others with information to contact law enforcement. Hameed’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 8.
