Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate several new Vande Bharat trains, including the Durg-Visakhapatnam route, which will enhance connectivity between Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. The Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week starting September 20, significantly reducing travel time from 12-14 hours to approximately 8-9 hours. This train will have 16 coaches and seven halts, including key stations like Raipur and Vizianagaram. Additionally, Modi will flag off the second phase of the Metro from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar, improving urban transport and reducing travel times. The new Vande Metro service between Bhuj and Ahmedabad will also commence, providing semi-high-speed rail connectivity to Kutch. Overall, these initiatives are part of a broader strategy to enhance rail infrastructure and connectivity across regions.
