Switzerland Reports Readiness to Host Ukraine-Russia Leaders Meeting Amid UNGA Talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly to discuss diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. Zelensky expressed his readiness to hold a leaders-level meeting with Russia and appreciated Switzerland's willingness to host such a summit; however, both leaders noted there have been no indications that Russia is willing to end the war. The discussion also covered cooperation on a significant cultural initiative and continued partnership efforts related to global food security. Additionally, concerns were raised about Russia's violations of NATO airspace and expanding aggression with drone incursions.
