Alabama Softball Defeats Jacksonville State 7-4 in Huntsville

In a strong showing at the Rocket City Softball Showcase, No. 23 Alabama softball defeated Jacksonville State 7-4, marking a much-needed victory after a rough performance in the Clearwater Invitational. After falling behind 2-0, Alabama's offense surged in the third inning with Alexis Pupillo hitting a pivotal three-run home run that shifted momentum in favor of the Crimson Tide. Two additional runs in the fourth inning and a home run from Kali Heivilin in the fifth solidified Alabama's lead. Jacksonville State attempted to rally in the sixth inning but could only manage two runs before Alabama's Emily Winstead secured the save. Coach Patrick Murphy praised the event's organization and the homecoming for Huntsville natives Larissa Preuitt and Mari Hubbard, who had family in attendance. The victory improved Alabama's record to 6-5 for the season.
