LAFC Signs Javairo Dilrosun on Loan from América for Club World Cup

Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) has acquired Dutch winger Javairô Dilrosun on loan from Mexico's Club América through July 24, 2025, with an option to make the move permanent. Dilrosun, 26, will fill a Designated Player spot previously held by Cengiz Ünder, who is returning to Fenerbahçe due to injury. The transfer was completed during FIFA's special June transfer window, making Dilrosun eligible for LAFC's participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, where they will open against Chelsea. Dilrosun brings experience from top European leagues and has won five trophies across Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Mexico, including two Liga MX titles with Club América. LAFC co-president and general manager John Thorrington expressed enthusiasm about adding a player with Dilrosun's pedigree to prepare for the tournament's challenges. The signing strengthens LAFC's roster as they aim to advance in the Club World Cup, joining other Designated Players Denis Bouanga and Olivier Giroud.
