Ali Farokhmanesh Named CSU Men's Basketball Coach

Colorado State University (CSU) has promoted Ali Farokhmanesh to head coach of the men's basketball team, replacing Niko Medved who moved to the University of Minnesota. Farokhmanesh has been part of the CSU coaching staff since 2018, having followed Medved from Drake, and was promoted to associate head coach in 2024. Known for his March Madness heroics in 2010, Farokhmanesh is regarded for his recruiting prowess and player development, particularly with star guards like Isaiah Stevens. His contract includes performance-based incentives such as bonuses for NCAA Tournament success and maintaining a strong team GPA.
