Rees‑Zammit Recalled; Carré Cleared for Wales

New Wales head coach Steve Tandy has recalled Louis Rees‑Zammit to a 39‑man Autumn Nations Series squad after the winger’s two‑year absence and unsuccessful NFL bid with the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars, where he did not feature in competitive matches. The squad, which averages 26 years and includes five uncapped players, will face Argentina (opening on November 9), Japan, New Zealand and South Africa. Rees‑Zammit returned to club rugby with Bristol in August and is managing a toe/foot injury but is expected to be fit for the opener. Tandy, who left his role as Scotland defence coach to take the Wales job, also secured approval to include Saracens prop Rhys Carré under the 25‑cap rule despite him being based in England. Jac Morgan returns to captain a blend of youth and experience as Tandy aims to build a game plan that gets his dangerous back three more ball.
