BET Awards 2025 Honor Foxx, Carey, Franklin, Snoop Dogg as Ultimate Icons

The 2025 BET Awards, celebrating its 25th anniversary, will honor Jamie Foxx, Kirk Franklin, Mariah Carey, and Snoop Dogg with the Ultimate Icon Award for their decades of groundbreaking contributions to music, entertainment, advocacy, and community impact. Foxx, an Oscar and Grammy-winning entertainer from Terrell, Texas, has excelled in film, music, and comedy, recently overcoming a health scare and continuing to produce acclaimed work. Kirk Franklin, a 20-time Grammy winner from Fort Worth, Texas, is recognized as a transformative figure in contemporary gospel music. Mariah Carey, the best-selling female artist of all time with over 200 million albums sold, celebrates the 20th anniversary of her landmark album The Emancipation of Mimi in 2025. Snoop Dogg, a cultural icon with over 40 million albums sold and noted for his influence on music and business, was also named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People. The ceremony, hosted by Kevin Hart and airing live on June 9, will also feature performances by Carey, Franklin, Snoop Dogg, and other prominent artists, alongside a special tribute to the 25th anniversary of BET's 106 & Park show.
