His emotional victory comes after a disappointing exit from the Tour de France due to crashes earlier in the season. The final stage, a 24.6 km individual time trial in Madrid, was won by Stefan Kung, with Roglic finishing second. Fellow Irish cyclists Eddie Dunbar and Darren Rafferty finished 11th and 75th overall, respectively.
