8-Year-Old Girl Fatally Stabbed in Wexford

Eight-year-old Malikika Al Katib died after attempting to save her mother from a knife attack in their home in New Ross, County Wexford, Ireland, on December 1. The incident occurred late at night when Malikika rushed to intervene after hearing a commotion, resulting in fatal stab wounds to her back and chest. Emergency services arrived, but she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at University Hospital Waterford.
