Elden Ring Plans Tarnished Edition DLC, Nightreign Game Releases May 2025

FromSoftware is set to release significant new content for Elden Ring coinciding with the launch of the Tarnished Edition for Nintendo Switch 2, as well as PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, in the form of the Tarnished Pack DLC. This update introduces two new starting classes, the Knight of Ides and the Heavy Armored Knight, each with distinct armor sets inspired by previous Soulsborne games, including a Fluted Knight-based set and a heavy plate armor reminiscent of Dark Souls characters. Notably, the Knight of Ides starts with the Milady Light Greatsword, a powerful and versatile late-game weapon from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, appealing particularly to Dexterity and Quality builds. Alongside these classes, the DLC adds three new Torrent skins, four new armor sets, unspecified new weapons, and new combat techniques, though details on the quantity and pricing remain unclear. Separately, Elden Ring Nightreign, releasing on May 30th, will feature additional Dark Souls crossover content, including new skins such as one based on Knight Artorias and the return of the Gaping Dragon boss, enhancing the connection between Elden Ring and the broader Souls franchise. These updates reflect FromSoftware's continuing effort to expand the Elden Ring universe with nostalgic elements and fresh gameplay options.
