Elden Ring Adds Two Starting Classes, Armor Sets In Tarnished DLC

FromSoftware has announced new content for Elden Ring across multiple platforms, including the upcoming Tarnished Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 and the Tarnished Pack DLC for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The DLC introduces two new starting classes, the Knight of Ides and the Heavy Armored Knight, both inspired by classic Soulsborne armor sets, with the Knight of Ides wielding the powerful Milady Light Greatsword from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Additional additions include four new armor sets, new weapons, combat techniques, and three new looks for Torrent, the spirit mount, though details on whether the DLC will be paid or free and its release date remain unclear. Meanwhile, Elden Ring Nightreign, releasing on May 30, will feature Dark Souls crossover content including new character skins modeled after iconic figures like Knight Artorias and the inclusion of the Gaping Dragon boss. These updates reflect FromSoftware's continued expansion of Elden Ring’s universe with nostalgic elements and fresh gameplay options for fans across platforms.
