Suspect Arrested After Stillwater Double Homicide, Shooting Near Langston
A suspect has been arrested in connection with a double homicide that occurred early Monday morning in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where two people were killed and a third was injured but remains stable. The shooting took place near West Elm and South Husband Street, close to Oklahoma State University’s campus, though police confirmed the victims were not college students. Following the initial shooting, Langston University police were involved in an officer-involved shooting with the suspect, who allegedly fired at a university police officer but was not hit, and the officer returned fire without injury. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has taken over the investigation to determine if the incidents are connected. Authorities assured the community that there is no ongoing threat and emphasized the safety of students and residents as a top priority. The suspect was apprehended outside Stillwater city limits, and police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shootings.
