New Zealand secured a commanding 113-run victory over Sri Lanka in the second One Day International (ODI), clinching the three-match series with an unassailable 2-0 lead. In a rain-affected match reduced to 37 overs a side, New Zealand scored 255/9, with Rachin Ravindra (79) and Mark Chapman (62) leading the charge. Sri Lanka's innings faltered dramatically, collapsing to 142 all out, with Kamindu Mendis top-scoring with 64 runs. Despite Maheesh Theekshana achieving a hat-trick, Sri Lanka's top order struggled, slumping to 22-4 early in their chase. Jacob Duffy and Will O'Rourke were vital for New Zealand, taking 2-30 and 3-31 respectively. The final match of the series is set to take place in Auckland on Saturday.
