Despite being terrified of snakes, Goggins had to handle them for the scene, during which he was bitten by a non-venomous snake. The actor initially continued filming with just Neosporin on the bite but was later advised by the production team to visit a hospital for a tetanus shot. Goggins shared his experience on Jimmy Kimmel Live, describing it as a 'nightmare' and expressing his deep-seated phobia of snakes. The incident brought a real-life tension to the episode, which was otherwise scripted to have Rick’s girlfriend bitten by a snake. Despite the ordeal, Goggins completed the shoot, demonstrating professionalism amid personal fear.
