Southeastern Louisiana University Opens Robin Roberts Broadcast Media Center

Southeastern Louisiana University has officially opened the Robin Roberts Broadcast Media Center, a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide students hands-on experience in all facets of broadcasting, including audio, video, radio, and television production. The center, which adds 33,000 square feet to the existing D. Vickers Hall, was made possible in part by a significant private donation from Robin Roberts, an alumna and Good Morning America co-anchor. Roberts returned to her alma mater for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, calling the moment full circle and emphasizing the center's role in inspiring the next generation of storytellers. University officials highlight that the facility not only benefits journalism and media students but also offers opportunities to students from various disciplines such as political science and criminal justice. The project reflects a major investment in the future of broadcast journalism and the university's commitment to providing exceptional educational resources.
