Two Men Arrested for April Fatal Shooting in El Cajon

Two men, 22-year-old Frankie England and 35-year-old Dontel Wallace, have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 46-year-old Deandra Bryant in El Cajon. The shooting occurred on April 13, 2025, after an altercation between Bryant and the two men in a parking lot near Wells Park on East Madison Avenue. Bryant was found with gunshot wounds by police and later died at the hospital. Wallace was initially arrested on unrelated firearms charges in June, which were subsequently upgraded to murder charges, while England was arrested in early July. Both suspects fled the scene after the shooting, and police continue to investigate the motive.
