Prince Harry Appears in London Court for Security Battle

Prince Harry returned to London for a two-day court hearing related to his ongoing legal battle over security arrangements following his stepping back from royal duties in 2020. Despite being in the city, he did not meet with his father, King Charles III, as the King and Queen Camilla were on a state visit to Italy during Harry's stay. Harry's legal team argued that the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) did not follow proper procedures when determining his security needs, alleging that they failed to consult an expert risk management board. The court proceedings are part of Harry's efforts to secure police protection for himself and his family during visits to the UK. His previous attempts to challenge RAVEC’s decision had been dismissed, but he won the right to appeal last May. Harry has expressed concerns that he cannot bring his family to the UK without adequate security.
