Cadillac Unveils 2026 Optiq-V Electric Performance SUV with 526HP, North America Production Planned
Cadillac has unveiled the 2026 Optiq-V, a high-performance all-electric crossover that marks the brand's first V-Series electric vehicle and the fifth generation of the V-Series line. The Optiq-V features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing around 515-526 horsepower and 880 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds, powered by an 85 kWh battery with an estimated range of about 443 kilometers (275 miles). It is the first GM vehicle equipped with the native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, allowing access to Tesla's Supercharger network, although some charging logistics currently require unconventional parking. The vehicle’s design includes sporty exterior elements such as a V-Series exclusive grille, carbon fiber components, 21-inch wheels with V-series emblems, and two limited-edition paint options, while the interior boasts a 33-inch curved integrated screen, premium materials with blue stitching, a 19-speaker AKG audio system, and Cadillac's Super Cruise driver assistance system. Production is set to begin in fall 2025, with availability initially in markets including the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Middle East, and Israel, and a U.S. starting price of $68,795. The Optiq-V aims to blend Cadillac’s performance heritage with modern electric powertrain technology to expand the brand's global footprint and attract new customers.
