Stephen Amell Cast in NBC's Suits: LA

Stephen Amell recently revealed that he auditioned for the role of a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the upcoming CBS prequel series NCIS: Origins but ultimately lost the part to Austin Stowell. Amell's audition took place just days before he tried out for the role of Ted Black in the NBC spinoff Suits: L.A. Despite feeling positive about his NCIS audition and receiving good feedback, he was frustrated to learn he hadn't been cast. This emotional state, stemming from various personal challenges, helped him channel his energy into the Suits audition, allowing him to perform more freely. As a result, Amell believes his frustrations ultimately contributed to his success in landing the role in Suits: L.A. NCIS: Origins will premiere this October, with Amell's new role set to debut soon after.
