Global Gaming League Launches SZN Zero with T-Pain, Ne-Yo in Las Vegas
The Global Gaming League (GGL) is launching its inaugural season, SZN Zero, on August 23 in Las Vegas, blending esports, celebrity culture, music, fashion, and live entertainment into a multi-title competitive gaming league. The league, created by Clinton Sparks and led by Director of Strategy T-Pain, aims to elevate gaming as a mainstream spectator sport by featuring celebrity-owned teams competing in popular games such as Tekken, Call of Duty, Rocket League, Street Fighter, and Tetris. A highlight of the launch event is the highly anticipated Tekken showdown between T-Pain's Nappy Boy Grizzlies and NE-YO's Gentleman's Gaming Team, stemming from a months-long social media rivalry that brought a personal and competitive edge to the competition. The league features diverse rosters mixing professional gamers, influencers, and celebrities, with other team owners including Flavor Flav, Bryce Hall, Gillie Da Kid, and Wallo. GGL's format promotes authentic competition and entertainment, offering players career opportunities and providing brands access to a global gaming audience of over three billion. The season will continue with events culminating in a championship at the Palms Resort in November, with plans for SZN One in 2026.
