Delhi Airport Faces Disruptions Amid Fog and Closures

Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport is experiencing significant disruptions due to dense fog and planned closures for Republic Day preparations. The city's air quality has plummeted to a severe level, causing delays for over 150 flights and at least 26 trains. Airlines like IndiGo and Air India have issued advisories due to reduced visibility. From January 19 to 26, the airport will close daily for 145 minutes for Republic Day flypast drills, affecting over 1,300 flights and potentially leading to delays and rescheduling. Weather conditions have exacerbated the situation, with more than 300 flights delayed on some days.
