Texas Grocery Chains Adjust Hours for Winter Storm

In response to a significant winter storm expected to hit Houston and other parts of Texas, major grocery chains such as Kroger and H-E-B are adjusting their store hours to ensure safety. Kroger stores in the Houston area will close early at 8 p.m. on January 21 and reopen at 10 a.m. on January 22. H-E-B, along with its Central Market, Joe V’s Smart Shop, and Mi Tienda stores, will close at 10 p.m. on January 20 in the Greater Houston area and reopen at 10 a.m. the next day. Additionally, stores in the San Antonio and Central Texas regions are also modifying their hours, with some closing as early as 7 p.m. These adjustments are due to expected freezing temperatures and snow accumulation, which could reach up to 8 inches in some areas.
