Tesla Diner Cuts Menu Amid Unprecedented Demand in Hollywood

Tesla's Hollywood Diner has significantly reduced its menu just weeks after opening, in response to unprecedented customer demand and operational challenges. Initially offering a broad selection including burgers, waffles, biscuits and gravy, and plant-based options, the diner now features a streamlined menu of five sandwiches, two sides, two pie flavors, shakes, and soft drinks to improve service efficiency. The popular Epic Bacon item was removed as a standalone option but remains available as a burger add-on, while breakfast items are now limited to mornings only. Chef Eric Greenspan indicated the menu will continue to evolve, with occasional specials and seasonal offerings planned. Despite the diner’s marketing as a 24-hour venue combining EV charging with nostalgic dining, some customers have reported limited charging access and reduced hours. The diner, designed by Tesla's head of design and operated by restaurateur Bill Chait, has drawn intense public interest but also logistical and supply chain hurdles that prompted the menu overhaul.
