The production will run from April 14 to May 17, 2025, marking a significant personal milestone for Oldman, who began his career at the same theater in 1979. Oldman described the return as 'the completion of a circle,' expressing a deep connection to the venue where he made his professional debut. The one-act play explores themes of memory and reflection, as the character Krapp listens to recordings of his younger self on his birthday. York Theatre Royal CEO Paul Crewes emphasized the unique opportunity this production presents for audiences. Oldman's last stage performance was in 1987, and since then, he has become a Hollywood icon, recently starring in the acclaimed Apple TV+ series 'Slow Horses.'
