Uttarkashi Helicopter Crash Kills 6, 1 Survivor

A helicopter carrying seven people, including the pilot, crashed near Ganganani in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand, on Thursday morning while transporting pilgrims to Hindu holy sites. Six people, including the pilot and five passengers, died in the crash, while one survivor was airlifted for emergency medical treatment. The helicopter, operated by a private company, plunged 200-250 meters down a steep hillside into a deep gorge. Swift rescue and relief operations were launched by local residents and emergency teams. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed condolences, ordered an investigation, and directed continued relief efforts.
