College Basketball Teams Open New Seasons

The 2024-25 college basketball season kicked off with several teams enjoying significant victories. The Kentucky Wildcats men's team defeated Wright State 103-62, with Otega Oweh leading with 21 points, while the women's team triumphed over USC Upstate 98-43, powered by Clara Stack's 20 points. Washington State's women faced Eastern Washington and the men, under new coach David Riley, hosted Portland State. The Louisville Cardinals men's team, now coached by Pat Kelsey, faced Morehead State at home, while the women's team competed in Paris against UCLA. The Miami Hurricanes men's team introduced 10 new players, including five-star recruit Jalil Bethea, in their matchup against Fairleigh Dickinson, and the women opened their season against Stetson. Lewis-Clark State's men and women also celebrated victories, with the men defeating Haskell Indian Nations 91-68 and the women winning 97-59.
