Craig Monroe Under Investigation for Sexual Abuse

Craig Monroe, a former Detroit Tigers outfielder and current broadcaster for Bally Sports Detroit, is under investigation by Florida authorities following allegations of sexual abuse made on social media. The accuser claims Monroe began abusing her when she was 12, while her family hosted him during his minor league career in Charlotte County, Florida. The abuse allegedly continued until she turned 18, at which point Monroe reportedly prostituted her to his friends. Monroe has been removed from the broadcast schedule indefinitely since June 9, as confirmed by both Bally Sports Detroit and the Detroit Tigers. Florida police are actively investigating the allegations and have urged anyone with information to come forward. Monroe has not responded to multiple requests for comment.
