Dorchester Man Wins $4 Million Lottery Prize

Tayoan De Lima Santos from Dorchester won a $4 million prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery's '$4,000,000 Lion’s Share' scratch ticket game. He opted for the cash option, receiving a one-time payment of $2.6 million before taxes and plans to use his winnings for travel and home improvements. The winning ticket was purchased at Mike’s Fuel & Food Mart in Waltham, which will receive a $40,000 bonus for the sale. As of now, only one grand prize of $4 million remains unclaimed in the game, along with three $1 million prizes. The $10 ticket was launched on April 16, and a significant number of other prizes were also reported across Massachusetts. This win adds to a notable year for the Massachusetts lottery, which saw its largest prize of $15.4 million claimed earlier in July.
