Joseph Suaalii Named in Wallabies Squad

Joseph Suaalii, a former rugby league star, has been included in the Wallabies' 34-man squad ahead of their tour to the UK and Ireland, marking a significant step as he prepares for his debut. The 21-year-old, who signed a record-breaking contract with Rugby Australia, is expected to play in the centre or outside backs. Alongside him are uncapped players Tane Edmed and Harry Potter, while Will Skelton returns after a hiatus due to club commitments in France. Head coach Joe Schmidt emphasized the importance of getting Suaalii integrated into the team, especially with a crucial test against the British and Irish Lions on the horizon. Notably absent from the squad are Marika Koroibete and injured players Rob Leota and Liam Wright. The Wallabies will face England on November 9, followed by matches against Wales, Scotland, and Ireland over the subsequent weekends.
