Jamie Dimon Discusses Future Work-Life Balance with AI

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon envisions a future where artificial intelligence (AI) could reduce workweeks to just three and a half days, enhancing work-life balance and potentially extending life expectancy to 100 years. Speaking on Bloomberg TV, he emphasized that while AI may displace some jobs, it historically creates new opportunities and improves quality of life. Dimon noted that thousands at JPMorgan are already utilizing AI across various operations, describing it as a 'living breathing thing' that will evolve. Despite concerns over job loss, with Goldman Sachs estimating up to 300 million jobs could be affected, Dimon encourages adaptation to technological advancements. He cited a McKinsey report suggesting that AI could automate 60% to 70% of tasks, contributing significantly to the global economy. Dimon remains optimistic that AI will ultimately lead to better living standards rather than widespread unemployment.
