DAZN's $1B Deal for 2025 Club World Cup Rights

FIFA has secured a $1 billion deal with DAZN to broadcast the 2025 Club World Cup, marking a significant milestone for both organizations. All 63 matches of the 32-team tournament will be available for free on DAZN's streaming platform, with the possibility of sublicensing to local broadcasters. This deal follows FIFA's struggles to find a broadcast partner, including unsuccessful negotiations with Apple. FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized the tournament's accessibility, calling it the 'most widely accessible club football tournament ever.' The tournament, featuring clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Inter Miami, will take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025.
