Bing, who averaged over 19 points per game his senior year and led his team to a state championship game, says his parents named him after a bishop, not the sitcom character. He has routinely faced Friends-related jokes but takes them in stride, admitting he expects even more as his collegiate career begins. Bing is also distantly related to NBA Hall of Famer Dave Bing. The 6-foot-9 wing chose Vanderbilt for its competitive environment and opportunities for growth both on and off the court, joining a roster that features a mix of returning players and transfers for the upcoming season.
