Former NFL QB Mark Sanchez Stabbed, Hospitalized Indianapolis
Mark Sanchez, former NFL quarterback and current Fox Sports analyst, was stabbed in an altercation in downtown Indianapolis while covering the Colts vs. Raiders game and is now hospitalized in stable condition. The incident, which occurred early Saturday, involved two men and is considered an isolated dispute, not a random act of violence, according to Indianapolis police. Sanchez was rushed to the hospital with stab wounds, while the other individual sustained lacerations. Police have reviewed video footage and are continuing their investigation, with charges to be decided by the Marion County prosecutor's office. Fox Sports expressed gratitude for the medical care Sanchez received and requested privacy for him and his family. Sanchez, who was the fifth overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft by the New York Jets, had a ten-year NFL career before transitioning to broadcasting in 2021.
