Jonathan Milan Takes Dauphiné Stage 2 and Lead

Jonathan Milan of Lidl-Trek won stage two of the 2025 Critérium du Dauphiné in Issoire, France, after a 204.6km stage featuring challenging hills and six categorized climbs. Milan overcame being dropped mid-stage with the help of his teammates, then surged to victory in the final sprint, beating Fred Wright and Mathieu van der Poel. Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard, and Remco Evenepoel finished safely in the main group. Milan took the yellow jersey from Pogacar, with both riders sharing the same overall time but Milan leading on a tiebreak. The stage featured a notable attack from local favorite Romain Bardet, who is competing in his final professional event.
