Texas Teen Arrested for Sonic Manager Murder
Adiah Namir Roberson, a 17-year-old Texas teen, was arrested in Dallas after being on the run for over three months, wanted for the murder of Sonic Drive-In manager Daniel Shrewsbury. The incident occurred on July 7 when Roberson attempted to pay with counterfeit money, leading to a confrontation with Shrewsbury, who was subsequently shot dead. Roberson, along with accomplice Joshua Joseph, was charged with murder and forgery after Joseph threatened Shrewsbury, prompting Roberson to fire the fatal shot. A $5,000 reward had been offered for information leading to her capture, which ultimately came from a tip received by authorities. Roberson is currently held on a $520,000 bond and may face trial as an adult. Shrewsbury's mother described him as a beloved jokester and dedicated employee, emphasizing the tragedy of his loss.
