Texas TikToker Arrested for Murder of Co-Worker Over $31K Debt

Naqibullah Habibzoi, a 23-year-old man from Houston, was arrested and charged with the murder of his former coworker Awal Noor Kiftan, whom he allegedly shot and killed over a $31,000 debt. The shooting occurred outside Kiftan's apartment in San Antonio on May 31, after Kiftan was lured outside by a phone call. Following the murder, Habibzoi reportedly boasted about the killing on his TikTok account, posting messages about revenge and admitting to the shooting in a phone call recorded by investigators. His social media posts, which included threats and references to the debt, helped law enforcement track him down. Police records show Habibzoi traveled from Houston to San Antonio on the day of the shooting and returned to Houston afterward, where he continued posting on TikTok. The case highlights how the suspect's online bragging played a crucial role in the investigation and his subsequent arrest.
