OpenAI Establishes Seoul Office in Asia Expansion

The company has already established a legal entity in South Korea and is actively recruiting staff to support partnerships with local businesses and policymakers. This move follows OpenAI’s establishment of offices in Tokyo and Singapore, marking Seoul as its third Asian office. OpenAI’s Chief Strategy Officer, Jason Kwon, highlighted South Korea’s comprehensive AI ecosystem and the country’s significant role in shaping the use of ChatGPT worldwide. The expansion aligns with OpenAI’s broader strategy of opening multiple international offices to foster AI innovation and collaboration.
