Nursing Assistant Arrested for Assault in Dunedin, FL

Nicholas Brown, a 35-year-old Certified Nursing Assistant at Lake Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Dunedin, Florida, was arrested for allegedly assaulting two disabled residents. The victims, who are non-verbal and unable to communicate, suffered from severe disabilities, including traumatic brain injuries and quadriplegia. Witnesses reported that Brown struck the residents multiple times on the legs, sides, and buttocks, leading to non-life-threatening injuries. Following an investigation initiated on December 23, 2024, Brown was charged with two counts of abuse or neglect of an aged or disabled person and subsequently fired from his position.
