Multiple Fires Erupt Across U.S., Including Elgin

Several fires have been reported across different locations in the United States. In Elgin, Illinois, a significant fire occurred at Welch Brothers construction supply on St. Charles Street, resulting in heavy smoke and flames but no injuries. The fire was contained to one building, and the Elgin Fire Department, along with nine neighboring agencies, responded to the incident. In Williamson County, Texas, emergency crews battled a 14-acre wildfire with a 65% containment rate as of 6:22 p.m., prompting road closures and public warnings. Other fires, including one in Ross Township, were also reported, with large clouds of smoke visible as crews worked to control them.
