Russian Airstrike Kills One, Injures Five in Zaporizhzhia

A recent Russian airstrike on a frontline community in the Zaporizhzhia region resulted in one civilian death and multiple injuries. Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that the attack targeted civilian infrastructure, once again endangering peaceful Ukrainians. The deceased was identified as a 66-year-old woman, while at least five others sustained injuries, including a 47-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man. The assault involved the use of guided aerial bombs, which caused significant destruction to over 30 homes and damage to approximately 50 buildings, including a school and a church. The attack follows a brief pause in the use of Shahed drones by Russian forces, which President Zelenskyi attributed to possible weather conditions or the transmission of intelligence to the U.S. regarding Russia's non-compliance with ceasefire agreements. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant as air raid alerts continue in the region.
