UPL Partners with CH4 Global on Methane Reduction

UPL and CH4 Global have announced a strategic partnership to distribute Methane Tamer™, a methane-reducing feed supplement for cattle, across major livestock markets including India, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. This collaboration aims to address significant methane emissions from livestock, which constitute a major contributor to global greenhouse gases. Methane Tamer™, made from Asparagopsis seaweed, can reduce enteric methane emissions by up to 90%. UPL plans to integrate this supplement into its existing feed formulations, leveraging its distribution networks in these key markets. The initiative is crucial as methane is nearly thirty times more harmful than CO2, with levels reaching their highest in 800,000 years. Both companies aim to create tailored business models for effectively distributing the supplement and promoting sustainable livestock practices.
