Alec Bohm Returns to Phillies Lineup

Alec Bohm has been activated from the 10-day injured list and is set to return to the Philadelphia Phillies lineup against the New York Mets on Sunday, batting fifth and starting at third base. Bohm sustained a left hand injury in late August and was placed on the injured list on September 3, but his recovery progressed quickly, allowing him to join the team ahead of schedule. He completed a successful rehab outing with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, going 2-for-4 with a double. To make room for Bohm on the active roster, the Phillies designated catcher Aramis Garcia for assignment. Since August, Bohm has posted a .270 batting average with two home runs and 16 RBIs over 104 plate appearances.
