PSG Beat Barcelona 2-1; Flick Admits Gap
Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to beat Barcelona 2-1 at Montjuïc Olympic Stadium in the Champions League group stage, overturning Ferran Torres’s 19th‑minute opener after Senny Mayulu equalised before half‑time and Gonçalo Ramos scored a 90th‑minute winner from Achraf Hakimi’s pass. Barcelona coach Hansi Flick said his side were not yet at PSG’s level, lamenting defensive frailties—especially in the final moments—and calling for better defensive structure, collective pressing and use of space. Flick also admitted fatigue affected key midfield players and contributed to a second‑half drop in performance. PSG, missing several regulars, nevertheless looked sharper in possession and moved to two wins from two in the group. Luis Enrique, returning to Barcelona for the first time as PSG manager, left satisfied with the result, while the defeat was Barcelona’s first of the season and, Flick said, a lesson for improving consistency and resilience.
