Ollie Gordon Named Preseason AP All-America

The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team secured preseason accolades with senior setter Norene Lang and junior outside hitter Riley Alexander named to the 2024 Big West Women's Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Team. The Rainbow Wahine ranked second in the Big West Coaches' Poll, receiving three first-place votes, while Cal Poly topped the poll. In college football, Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon is a frontrunner for the 2024 Heisman Trophy, following an impressive 2023 season where he led in rushing yards and touchdowns, despite recent DUI charges. Gordon also earned first-team honors on the preseason AP All-America team alongside teammate Nick Martin. Meanwhile, Colorado's Travis Hunter made the preseason AP All-America team as a versatile player, showcasing his dual-threat capability on offense and defense. Both Oklahoma State and Colorado are set to begin their seasons on August 29 and 31 respectively.
