Maryland Pastor Arrested Charged Sexual Abuse Five Children

William Auburn Jones, a 58-year-old pastor of Jessup Baptist Church and former teacher at Elvaton Christian Academy in Millersville, Maryland, has been arrested on multiple charges including sexual abuse of a minor, fourth-degree sexual offense, and child abuse. The investigation began on May 1 after two parents reported inappropriate sexual behavior toward their children by Jones, leading authorities to identify five victims. Jones, who was employed at the academy from 2020 to 2025 and is also affiliated with the missionary organization Mission Fields International, was taken into custody on July 25 without incident. Anne Arundel County Police Department's Child Abuse Unit is urging anyone with additional information to come forward, offering both direct and anonymous tip lines. The charges against Jones include over 20 counts, such as felony sex abuse of a minor and multiple assaults. Authorities continue to investigate the case to ensure all victims are identified and justice is served.
