Two Arrested for Woonsocket Stabbing Murder

Two men, Ibrahim Sylla and Jacob Lopez Diaz, both 24, have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and other related crimes following a fatal stabbing incident in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. The victim, identified as Christopher Penado, 32, was found with multiple stab wounds near 380 Social Street on Saturday evening and later died at Landmark Medical Center. Police were responding to reports of a fight involving several people when they discovered Penado. Sylla and Lopez Diaz face additional charges of conspiracy to commit murder and robbery, and are scheduled for arraignment in Providence District Court. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing is ongoing.
